Brian Plays Percy
I've just gotten the oportunity to play one of my lifetime dream roles! And the most amazing part is that I didn't have to wait until I was 35. While rehearsing Pimpernel in New Hope, Ron and Debbie asked me to understudy the role of Percy. I excitedly agreed all the while knowing deep down that I would never get to go on. But as fate would have it, the run up in the Poconos got extended by an extra week, and Louis P. was unable to stay that long. Talk about big shoes to fill! But everyone in the cast was incredibly helpful during put-in rehearsals, by the time I stepped in front of my first audience as Percy, I felt ready. The week couldn't have gone better, and I can honestly say that of all the shows I've ever done, I am most proud of the work I did in that production. The role made me push myself farther than I ever thought I could go, both as a singer and as an actor. It was simultaneously the hardest and most enjoyable stage experience I've ever had. I'll never forget it.
